Support the Robin Hood tax!

The Equality Trust supports the proposed Financial Transactions Tax (the "Robin Hood tax") and calls on all our supporters - and all visitors to this site - to do the same. It may not be the whole answer but it is a welcome recognition of the correctness and need for a sustained re-distribution of resources from rich to poor.

The Equality Trust calls on the general public and politicians of all parties to campaign for progressive taxes as part of the policy solutions needed to narrow the gap between rich and poor. This is not an abstract demand. The reason we need to create a more equal society is to create the healthier, more cohesive and sustainable society we all want to live in.
