Recently, three critiques of The Spirit Level have claimed that the evidence does not support the book's conclusion that more equal societies do better. The Spirit Level's authors welcome an open debate of their findings, but point out that none of these critiques are peer-reviewed and that the methodology in all three is seriously flawed.
