Apprenticeship appeal

a hand holding a jar of money with a heart shape growing out of it

As the mutifaceted impacts of COVID-19 are being revealed, one of the starkest issues we are now seeing is the disproportionate impact of unemployment on young people. This is why we want to create, and maintain, a Living Wage apprenticeship post at The Equality Trust. We are asking for your support to enable us to do this.

We know that the charity sector is notoriously hard to break into without the means to be able to volunteer or donate your time, we know that the charity sector is still dominated by those with learned experience of what it is like to live life at the sharp end of inequality and we know that the inequality in the current minimum wage rates does not fairly reflect the value that young people bring to their workplaces.

This is why we want to be able to offer post, paid at London Living Wage rates, to a young person currently receiving Universal Credit.

If you're able to donate £5 instead of buying two cups of coffee this week, £50 saved from your commute or £250 for a holiday that didn't happen - all donations to this appeal will be massively appreciated.

Please also share the fundraiser widely. We couldn't do what we do without you.
