Because more equal societies work better for everyone

Policy Proposals From The Equality Trust

Tuesday, 12 September, 2017

The Equality Trust was recently invited to recommend policies for the Labour Party and our submission can be read here on the website of the Progressive Economics Group.

Our policy proposals are designed solely to improve the quality of life in the UK by reducing economic and social inequality, as per our charitable objectives. As a politically neutral charity, we urge all political parties to adopt these policies. We continue to engage with all parties to seek their commitment to inequality reduction and to adopt suitable policies to achieve a more equal, fairer and better society.

Furthermore, we welcome enquiries from all political parties and others regarding policy proposals for tackling the UK's high, entrenched and damaging level of economic and social inequality.

Inequality is NOT inevitable. It can be fixed.

The Equality Trust is a registered charity that works to improve the quality of life in the UK by reducing economic inequality. UK income inequality is among the highest in the developed world and evidence shows that this results in poorer mental and physical health, higher violent crime, poorer educational outcomes and lower levels of trust. Inequality affects us all. For further comments or to arrange an interview, contact John Hood on 07580 651 337 or john.hood@equalitytrust.org.uk
