Mumbi is our Interim Equal Pay Campaigns Officer, leading on our campaign to highlight the failure of major companies and organisations to adhere to the legal obligations to pay workers equally, regardless of gender. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the passage of the Equal Pay Act 1970 and presents an opportunity to build a movement to persuade, or force, employers to reconsider their pay structures and commit to pay equality, across race, gender and disabilities.
Angela is the Local Groups Organiser for the Equality Trust focusing on supporting existing and new local groups to grow in their capacity to effect change locally.
Angela has organised in trade union and community campaign organisations both in the UK and Australia, focusing on activist development and activist empowerment to develop strategic campaigns.
Frankie works as the Campaigns and Administrative Assistant working with The Equality Trust's speaker network and as the co-secretariat to the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Poverty. He is also working with partner organisation Just fair on the #1forequality campaign on socio-economic duty. Before joining in March 2019 he worked at the Barrow Cadbury Trust and studied literature and history at Amsterdam University.
John runs our Fair Pay Campaign looking at both gender pay gaps and the ratios between chief executive pay and that of their workforce. John has extensive experience of community and trade union organising and hopes to use that experience to develop an effective strategy to effect positive change.
Rianna is a full-time Campaigns Officer for the Equality Trust, managing our Europe-wide campaign against private financing for development (in partnership with Citizens for Financial Justice), as well as our #EqualPay50 campaign.
She is also responsible for our work as UK and Europe convenors of the Fight Inequality Alliance.
She is currently on sabbatical until April 2020.
